Sunderland v Manchester City – Confirmed lineups – Star midfielder ruled out

Manchester City take on Sunderland on Sunday in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light hoping to extend an impressive run of form.

City have six wins and a draw in their last seven games and could move into second place with a victory.

Germany international of Turkish origin Ilkay Gundogan remains out for City with a knee injury.

City boss Pep Guardiola will also be without star forward Gabriel Jesus who has a foot injury, Sergio Aguero will start instead.

January signing Gabriel Jesus will also miss today’s clash due to a foot injury.

Sunderland are currently in last place but if David Moyes manages to record his first home victory of 2017 it could move them into 18th position.

The Black Cats will however, be up against a City side that have won their last four games and scored an incredible 10 goals in their last two matches.
