Sunderland v Manchester City – Probable lineups – Star midfielder ruled out
Sunderland host Manchester City today in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light.
The visitors come into the game in terrific form with six wins and a draw in their last seven games.
Manager Pep Guardiola will be unable to call upon his star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. The playmaker – of Turkish decent – suffered a knee injury last year which is expected to keep him out of the team until the new season.
January signing Gabriel Jesus will also miss today’s clash due to a foot injury.
City can move up into second place in the league if they record a win over Sunderland.
The home side find themselves at the foot of the table however, they know a win will move the Black Cats up into 18th place, should they pull off a shock result.
David Moyes’ have failed to win at home since December 17.
