Super Lig Wrap 8: Adana Win Again, Fenerbahce Record 16th Successive Win, Icardi Scores Again

The eigth round of the Super Lig saw the top four all win their respective games.

After humiliating Besiktas, Adana went onto beat another league giant in Trabzonspor. Nani scored the only goal of the game but the home side could have scored many more.

Saturday saw Galatasaray win once again with Mauro Icardi getting his name on the scoresheet and providing an assist.

The prolific striker now has nine goals and one assist in 10 appearances in all competitions this season.

The other Saturday games saw Sivasspor beat Pendikspor 3-2, Ankarauguc beat Kayserispor 3-0 and Istanbul Basaksehir beat Gaziantep 2-0.

Besiktas reacted to a turmultous week that saw them get embarrassed in the European Conference League losing 3-2 at home against Lugano with a win against Istanbulspor.

They won the game despite being without a manager as Senol Gunes resigned following a string of poor results.

Rizespor beat Samsunspor 1-0, Hatayspor recorded a 3-1 win over Konyaspor.

In the other major Sunday clash Fenerbahce beat Kasimpasa 2-0 away with goals from Edin Dzeko and Dusan Tadic to take their win streak to 16 in all competitions.

The win kept Fenerbahce top of the table with Galatasaray breathing down their neck in second place and Adana Demirspor in third.
