Swansea City Star Leaves Team Camp To Travel To Turkey For Medical In After Reaching Agreement With Super Lig Giants

Turkish-Football reported on Monday that Swansea City star Andre Ayew had reached an agreement-in-principle with Fenerbahce.

The Ghana international has since left the Swans pre-season training camp to travel to Turkey for a medical with the Yellow Canaries.

A source close to Fenerbahce revealed to Turkish-Football that the striker is expected to complete his loan move afterwards.

The Istanbul based outfit want to push through the deal as quickly as possible as they have a crucial Champions League Third-Round qualifier against Benfica on 7 August in Portugal.

Fenerbahce currently have just one fırst-choice striker available after selling Fernandao and following the end of Vincent Janssen’s loan deal.

Ayew joined Swansea on an £18 million [BBC] move from West Ham in January but failed to score a single goal.

The striker did travel with the Championship outfit to the training camp in Germany and Austria but did not feature in the 2-1 loss to Eibar on 24 July.
