Swansea City star striker Wilfried Bony has taken a step towards a move away from the Liberty Stadium.

The powerful striker has been closely linked with a move to the Black Eagles in recent weeks.

According to a report by Fanatik yesterday, Besiktas have agreed personal terms with Wilfried Bony. Per the source, the Istanbul giants will pay the majority of Bony’s wages.

Furthermore, Besiktas have offered Swansea City a £1.5 million fee to loan Bony for the season. The Black Eagles also want to include a £3 million release clause in the deal.

Besiktas are on the hunt for a new striker following disappointing performances from both Alvaro Negredo and Vagner Love. Senol Gunes’ side have been unable to fill the void in attacked left when Cenk Tosun made the move to Everton.

The Istanbul based club ended the season in fourth place and will compete in the Europa League next season.
