Swansea City striker set for medical with Turkish league giants after agreeing terms

Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis is set for his Galatasaray medical after agreeing terms with the Turkish league giants.

A source close to Galatasaray revealed to Turkish-Football that the club expect Gomis to undergo a medical after agreeing terms with the player.

The Lions also have a deal in place with the Premier League outfit.

The experienced striker is expected to join the Istanbul giants once he passes his medical.

The 31-year-old spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan with Ligue 1 outfit Marseille where he scored a 21 goals in his 33 appearances in all competitions.

Beinsports have reported that Swansea offered Gomis to Istanbul rivals Basaksehir in a bid to land Adebayor in return as part of a player plus cash offer.

The Turkish league runners-up have however, ruled out selling Adebayor.

Galatasaray have prioritised signing a striker after selling Lukas Podolski to Kobe.

The Turkish league outfit finished the season in fourth place and will play Europa League football next season as a result.
