Durmaz spent last season at Toulouse but was released as a free agent at the end of June.
The experienced winger will join Galatasaray on a free transfer if the move does end up being completed.

He joined Olympiakos following Genclerbirligi before joining Toulouse on a €2m move [Transfermarkt] in August 2016.
The 30-year-old is eligible to play under the status of a domestic player as he is of Turkish origin and has citizenship rights.
Durmaz has three goals in 48 international caps for Sweden.
