Swiss International Eren Derdiyok Completes Transfer To Goztepe

Switzerland international Eren Derdiyok has completed his transfer to Goztepe the club revealed today.

Derdiyok has signed a two-year deal with an option to extend by an additional season.

The club released a statement on the official website with Derdiyok wearing the team shirt.

Derdiyok last played for Galatasaray before being released as a free agent at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old did not play a single game for the Lions in 2019 but scored 10 goals in 18 appearances over the first half of the season.

The experienced striker has played in Turkey since joining Kasimpasa from Hoffenheim in 2014.

Derdiyok has 11 goals in 60 international caps for the Switzerland national team but plays in Turkey under a domestic status due to being of Turkish origin.

Goztepe narrowly escaped relegation from the Super Lig last season finishing in 15th place just one spot above the relegation zone.

The Super Lig outfit are the sole Izmir based club in the Turkish top-flight.
