Talks Cancelled After Arsenal Star Made Shock €8m Per-Season Demand

Besiktas have canceled further talks with Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere’s representatives after €8 million-per-season demands according to Turkish newspaper Gunes.

Per the source, the Black Eagles held talks after expressing an interest in the England midfielder.

Wilshere’s demands were rejected and negotiations were halted afterwards.

The 26-year-old will be a free agent on July 1 2018 unless he signs a new deal with Arsenal.

The midfielder would have joined Oguzhan Ozyakup as the second Arsenal youth player to make the move to Besiktas.

Ozyakup and Wilshere were teammates in the 2009 Youth FA Cup which the Gunners won.

The Turkish international left the North London outfit five-years ago and went onto win two league titles with the Black Eagles.

Turkish-Football sources have revealed Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are also interested in Wilshere.

Lions boss Fatih Terim is keen to work with the midfielder and is of the view he would get the best out of him.

Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli is currently in England and has contacted Wilshere’s representatives.

Comolli has close ties to the Gunners from his time at the club between 1996 to 2004.

The Yellow Canaries would be able to offer Wilshere first-team and Champions League football.

The midfielder also has interested from Southampton, West Ham, Wolves, Sampdoria and AC Milan according to the Mirror.

Fenerbahce would not be able to offer €8m per-season but would be able to match or beat the other clubs being linked for wages – and are the only side that could offer Champions League football.

Wilshere was not included in the England 23-man World Cup squad.
