Fenerbahce have not given up hopes of signing Tottenham’s out of favour striker Vincent Janssen this summer.
According to the Turkish outlet SporX, talks between Fenerbahce and Tottenham are currently ongoing.
Per the source, the Istanbul Giants still harbour hopes of signing Janssen on a season-long loan.
SporX go onto state that Fenerbahce’s director of football Damien Comolli wants to get the deal over the line before the Premier League transfer window ends.
We recently reported that Tottenham are keen to insert a clause forcing the Istanbul giants to make the transfer permanent next summer.
Janssen spent last season loan with Fenerbahce but struggled with injuries. The 24-year-old scored just four goals in 16 appearances for the Yellow Canaries.
The Netherlands international joined Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar for £17 million back in summer 2016. However, Janssen was unable to impress in the Premier League and scored just twice in his opening season.
Tottenham kicks off their 2018/19 Premier League season against Newcastle United while Fenerbahce take on Bursaspor.
