‘The least intelligent player I’ve ever seen’ – Liverpool fans roast Emre Can on social media following Champions League clash

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw against Spartak Moscow at the Otkrytiye Arena on Champions League Match Day 2.

The home side took the lead on 23 minutes thanks to a strike from Fernando.

Philippe Coutinho equalised for the Reds just 10 minutes later but they were unable to push on for a winner.

Midfielder of Turkish origin Emre Can started for the Reds but his performance did not draw a positive reaction from the fans – on social media anyway.

We took a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to Can’s display on social media.

Some fans blamed Can for conceding against Spartak Moscow. He was accused of being ‘slow’ and ‘ponderous’.

Can was criticised for lacking concentration and making sloppy passes among other things.

Has Can really been poor this season? sure he has had a few bad performances but Liverpool have not been great as a team.

Ouch!
