The what” – Man City star makes admission regarding Quadruple chances this season

Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has revealed his thoughts on his side’s chances of the Quadruple.

Gundogan recently regained his place in Pep Guardiola’s squad after spending over ten months on the sidelines with a knee injury. The 26-year-old has been a regular feature in City’s starting eleven and could even feature tonight against Bristol City.

City can take another step towards a Quadruple when they host Bristol at the Etihad stadium in the Carabao Cup.

However, no side has ever won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League in a single season.

When asked about his side’s chances of lifting all four trophies this season, Gundogan admitted that he’s never heard of the word ‘quadruple’.

“The what? Quadruple? I didn’t know that word before. I heard it now for the first time, really, honestly,” Gundogan told reporters.

“Of course we know we are situated well in all competitions and the first one is the Carabao Cup the closest one – and we want to win it.

“If we don’t, we will be disappointed, that’s clear. Everything else is in the future.

“We’ve just had the third round of the FA Cup and there is a long way to go in the Premier League and in the Champions League there are lot of contenders as well.”

Man City face Liverpool in this weekend’s much anticipated Premier League clash.
