‘There is interest’ – Bundesliga wonder-kid Caglar Soyuncu targeted by rivals Man United & Man City has transfer plans revealed by agent
Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu has enjoyed a meteoric rise from the Turkish second-tier to Bundesliga football within the span of a season.
Soyuncu has attracted widespread interest after a brilliant debut season in the German top-flight.
The Turkish international defender’s agent Mustafa Doğru commented on his clients future.
Doğru confirmed that they have received interest but that they plan to keep Soyuncu at the club for at least another season to aid his development.

“There is interest, I do not want to get into the offers that is up to the clubs transfer policy,” he said.
“We do think it would be in his best interest to stay on for at least another season and then consider our options,” he said.
“We think it would be in his best interests, our priority is for him to keep developing and improving his game.”
Manchester United and Manchester City have both been closely linked with the 20-year-old defender according to Turkish-Football.
Soyuncu has been quoted as saying he admires current United boss Jose Mourinho.
“I admire Jose Mourinho, not just his football but his philosophy,” Soyuncu said.
“I would like to work with him in the future.”
Doğru also recently confirmed City interest in the youngster: “Manchester City have made contact to us through a third party.
“Caglar is the type of defender that suits Pep Guardiola’s style and his goal is to play Premier League football but he is focused on Freiburg.”
Soyuncu established himself as a first-team player for Freiburg this season and has also become a regular call-up for the Turkish national team.
The rising star was recently singled out for praise on the official Bundesliga website.
