‘There is interest from Europe’ – Club official confirms enquiries made for Man United wonder-kid target nicknamed ‘Turkish Dybala’

‘Lille made enquiry’ – Ligue 1 giants rival Man United in race to sign wonder-kid nicknamed ‘Turkish Dybala’

Ligue 1 outfit Lille have made an enquiry for Basaksehir wonder-kid Cengiz Under according to club vice-president Mustafa Saral.

The Istanbul minnows are however, determined to keep Under at the club for at least another season.

Saral underlined that it is important for both the club and Under’s development that he stays for their first ever Champions League campaign.

“Cengiz is a very promising and talented player, he is already a regular call up to the international side,” Saral was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

“We did receive an enquiry from Lille but no official offer was made.

“There is interest from Europe, this is to be expected considering the kind of talent he is.

“There have been enquiries but no official offers.

“We want Cengiz to stay on for at least another season to experience our first Champions League campaign.”

Turkish-Football recently reported that United and Spurs have been keeping tabs on the rising star nicknamed Turkish Dybala.

Under has also been linked with Bundesliga outfit Freiburg  according to Badische Zeitung.

The young forward has attracted widespread interest over recent months after an impressive breakthrough season at the Istanbul based club.

Against all the odds Basaksehir finished runners-up and and reached the final of the Turkish Cup, with Under playing a key role.

The 19-year-old nicknamed the ‘Turkish Dybala’ scored nine times and provided seven assists in all competitions for his side.

Under also has an impressive international record. The Turkish national team star has scored in both games he has started for the Crescent-Stars – against Moldova and Kosovo.
