Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan appears to be hungry for more trophies following his sides Carabao Cup success.
The Citizens lifted the League Cup on Sunday after defeating Arsenal in the final on Sunday.
City registered a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Gunners on the night. Ilkay Gundogan was included in Pep Guardiola’s starting eleven and played the full 90 minutes.
Following the game, Gundogan told Sport360 that he hopes he and his teammates will lift more silverware before the season comes to a close.
“I hope so. I don’t know about the feeling to be honest. We just enjoy the feeling now of the first trophy of the season,” Gundogan told Sport360 after Man City’s win over Arsenal.
“Hopefully there will be at least one more. But of course, we are striving for the greatest we can do.
“We hope we can do well in the Champions League in the next games. The Premier League there’s also a while to go.
“We are in a quite comfortable situation, so we just have to keep going as we did in the last few months.”
Man City are back in action on Thursday night in the Premier League. The Citizens take on Arsenal once again as they look to record back-to-back wins over the Gunners.
Pep Guardiola’s side sit comfortably at the top of the Premier League with 72 points in 27 games. City are 13 points ahead of their rivals Manchester United.
