The official UEFA website has released a list of the 50 best players to keep an eye on for the 2019-20 campaign.

UEFA reporters across Europe picked their top 50 young footballers that ‘could be big news this season’.

Three Turkish players made the list – just one made it last season, Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici.

Besiktas forward Guven Yalcin, Galatasaray winger Yunus Akgun and Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak made the cut.

Additionally, attacking midfielder of Turkish origin Eljif Elmas also made the grade. Napoli signed him from Fenerbahce on a €16m move in July.

Yalcin joined the Black Eagles on a £135,000 [Transfermarkt] move from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.

The 20-year-old went onto score eight goals and provide four assists in 22 league games.

Akgun meanwhile, broke through the Galatasaray academy last term scoring five goals and providing three assists in 19 appearances.

The 19-year-old is expected to follow in the footsteps of Kabak who also progressed from the Lions academy to the first team last season.

After just six-months of football as a first-choice centre-back for the Yellow-Reds he was snapped up on an €11m move to Stuttgart.

After being named Bundesliga Rookie of the Year, Kabak was transferred to Schalke 04 for a €16m fee this summer.
