Tottenham Demand Shock €6m Loan Fee For Striker

Janssen

Fenerbahce are keen on extending Vincent Janssen’s loan from Tottenham by an additional season.

Turkish-Football report that Spurs want a €6m loan fee for the Netherlands international.

The Yellow Canaries are willing to go as high as €1 million.

Recently elected club president Ali Koc scolded the previous board for paying a €4 million loan fee for the striker last season.

The Istanbul giants will refuse to pay what they see as over the odds for a temporary stay.

Tottenham will have to lower their loan demands if they hope to offload Janssen over the summer.

Fenerbahce recently appointed Dutch manager Phillip Cocu as manager.

Janssen struggled with injuries at Fenerbahce last season making a grand total of 18 appearances scoring five goals and providing four assists.

The 24-year-old was out with a toe injury between December and April with an ankle fracture.

Janssen spent a total of 132 days sidelined with injuries last season.

The striker did recently reveal that he does not think his ‘chapter with Fenerbahce’ has come to an end.

“I had a fantastic year despite the injury, and I have the feeling that the chapter with Fenerbahçe has not yet been closed,” Janssen told NOS.

“That does not mean that Fenerbahçe is my only option. I am open to everything. There is nothing at the moment and it is easy to wait.”
