Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Fenerbahce’s defensive midfielder, Ismail Yuksek. The 25-year-old Turk has impressed with his performances, attracting the attention of the North London club.

According to Fanatik, Tottenham officials will scout Yuksek when Fenerbahce hosts Union SG in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

Manager Ange Postecoglou’s approval would trigger a summer approach for Yuksek, who is seen as a potential solution to Spurs’ lack of depth in defensive midfield.

Yves Bissouma currently stands alone as Tottenham’s specialist defensive midfielder, highlighting the need for reinforcements. Yuksek’s physical and technical attributes are considered well-suited for English football.

The prospect of joining Spurs likely appeals to Yuksek, offering a chance to climb the career ladder. While adept at disrupting opposition attacks, his five assists across competitions showcase his attacking contributions as well.

Yuksek has made 40 appearances in all competitions this season scoring one goal and providing five assists.

The Turkish international is under contract until 2027.

While Tottenham boasts a strong starting lineup, squad depth remains a concern for competing for major trophies. Yuksek’s potential arrival represents a shrewd investment to address this issue.
