Turkish player Barış Alper Yılmaz’s performances have attracted attention from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. His consistent form, including a recent goal against Başakşehir, has impressed scouts despite initial focus on loanee Tanguy Ndombele according to Sabah.

Per the source, Spurs were watching Ndombele but were left impressed with Yilmaz who is being scouted by Arsenal as reported by Turkish football journalist Burhan Can Terzi.

Terzi revealed that several Premier League sides are scouting Yilmaz and that he can confirm one of those clubs is Arsenal and that they had scouts at the game against Basaksehir.

Yılmaz’s dedication to extra training, including personalized physical work and match analysis, seems to be bearing fruit. This, coupled with his versatility across multiple positions (left/right-back, winger, striker), has made him a valuable asset for Galatasaray.

Tottenham are reportedly preparing a positive transfer report on Yılmaz as Ndombele’s loan spell hasn’t yielded desired results. Galatasaray reportedly values him at over €20 million, reflecting his rising stock.

Yılmaz’s talent, versatility, and work ethic suggest a bright future. Whether he stays at Galatasaray or joins a Premier League club, his performances deserve attention.

The 23-year-old has played an important roll in the Galatasaray side over recent weeks and is expected to get a call up for the Turkish national team squad for Euro 2024.

Yilmaz has four goals and five assists in 38 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions this season.
