Tottenham target tipped for big future by Ilkay Gundogan – Man United also interested in Turkey international

Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has heaped praise on the young Turkey international Yusuf Yazici.

The Trabzonspor playmaker has been a star performer in the Turkish Super Lig over the past 18 months and has been closely linked with a move to the Premier League.

According to the Turkish outlet SporX, both Tottenham and Man United have maintained an interest in Yazici.

Gundogan believes the Trabzonspor midfielder has the ability to play in Europe’s top leagues.

“I really enjoy watching Yusuf Yazici play in Turkey,” Gundogan told the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.

“He [Yazici] has great potential, hopefully, he will be playing football at a very high level in the near future.

Gundogan shares the same agent as Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Yusuf Yazici.

The 26-year-old has been in impressive form for Man City in recent weeks. Gundogan played a starring role in his sides Carabao Cup final win over Arsenal on Sunday.

Man City are back in action on Sunday when they host Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium. The Citizens will lift the Premier League title in early April if they maintain their current run of form.
