Tottenham transfer news: Spurs scout former Arsenal star Oguzhan Ozyakup during Champions League shock result
Tottenham may of had a quiet summer transfer window but the north London-based club are already planning to strengthen their squad.
A source from within Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football that Tottenham scouts were present during Besiktas’ clash with FC Porto on Wednesday night.
The Black Eagles defeated the Dragons by a 3-1 scoreline on the night leaving them at the top Group G.
Per the source Spurs have been keeping tabs on former Arsenal midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup in recent months and were watching how the 24-year-old coped with UEFA Champions League football.

Spurs are also on the lookout for a new left-back to provide competition for Danny Rose. The north London-based club have felt the Rose’s absence in recent weeks and want to bolster their options on the left.
Porto left-back Alex Telles was one of Porto’s top performers on the night and would have certainly caught the scouts attention.
Meanwhile, Turkey international striker Cenk Tosun was the star of the show – scoring a 30 yard stunner to put his side ahead – and came close to a move to the Premier League on transfer deadline day.
I’m pretty sure Ben Davis has been excellent in Danny Rose’s absence so I don’t think Spurs are missing him quite as much as you make out.
