Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino remains keen to sign the Turkish international midfielder Yunus Malli.
According to the Mirror Spurs have rekindled their interest in the Bundesliga star after coming close to signing the 24-year-old in January. The Mirror goes onto state that Malli’s £7.5 million release clause expires at the end of the month which may lead to Tottenham tabling a bid by the end of this week.
Malli recently admitted he cannot rule out leaving Mainz over the summer transfer window.
“I can’t, won’t rule anything out. What’s the point of saying ‘I play for Mainz this season’ and things look different in two weeks?” Malli was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
Mali was included in Turkey’s squad which competed at Euro 2016 this summer in France but hardly featured for Fatih Terim’s side. The 22-year-old netter 11 goals and provided five assist in 36 appearances for Maniz last season.
