£17m Tottenham star Vincent Janssen admits he has to look at his future after deadline day deal
Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen made the move to Fenerbahce on Turkey’s transfer deadline day.
The Netherlands international joined the Istanbul giants on a season-long loan deal after failing to impress at White Hart Lane.
Janssen has revealed that he turned down offers from elsewhere to seal a move to Fenerbahce.
According to Turkey’s beIN Sports, the Netherland’s international rejected both West Brom and Brighton & Hove Albion on the UK’s transfer deadline day.
The report goes onto state that Janssen made the decision to leave Tottenham after the north London-based club signed Fernando Llorente from Swansea City.
“The transfer happened on the last day, there’s been a lot of rumours before already and in the end I was happy that I could make this transfer,” Janssen told beIN.
“There were a lot of opportunities before but I’m happily here now.
“Of course, last year was not what I wanted, but that was last year.
“I have to look at the future and I have to continue. I want to play, I want to improve myself, and I want to be important for the team.”

Janssen was also omitted from Mauricio Pochettino’s 23-man UEFA Champions League squad.
The Netherlands international made the move to Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar last summer for £17 million (BBC).
The 23-year-old managed to score just two Premier League goals following his transfer to Spurs.
It’s important for Vincent, that he plays a lot of football, this season – not only to regain his confidence…but because this is a World Cup season and he was never, ever going to get enough minutes at Spurs, this year. On the other hand, Pochettino has reiterated that Janssen still has a future at the Club and the fact is that, at 32, Llorente won’t be around forever. Indeed, this move could be a win-win for all parties, as Vincent gets more game time, scores more goals, has a decent World Cup (if Holland can, somehow qualify from their difficult position, by thrashing Belarus and Sweden) – and return to Spurs as a re-invigorated player. Alternatively, he has a good season, following which, a permanent deal can be struck, to sell him at a preserved, rather than diminished, value.
