Tottenham vs Dortmund: Probable Lineups – Pochettino missing star man, Dortmund facing injury crisis

Tottenham take on Borussia Dortmund in their opening Group I Champions League clash at Wembley.

Spurs will be without star man Dele Alli who is suspended.

Mauricio Pochettino will also be missing Victor Wanyama, Danny Rose and Nkoudou due to injury.

Moussa Sissoko meanwhile is expected to return in time for the clash after recovering from a knock he picked up during the 3-0 win over Everton on the weekend.

Borussia Dortmund meanwhile are facing an injury crisis with Andre Schurrle, Marcel Schmelzer, Marc Bartra, Julian Weigl, Eric Durm, Raphael Geurreiro and Sebastian Rode all sidelined.

Turkish international Nuri Sahin and Omer Toprak will be available.

Sahin is almost certain to start after a brilliant start to the season. The experienced midfielder is currently the third best rated midfielder in the Bundesliga according to Whoscored.

Toprak meanwhile should come in at centre-back alongside Sokratis.

Tottenham are coming off the back of a comfortable win over Everton but have yet to win at home this season.

The last time these two sides met Dortmund dominated over two legs and won the tie 5-1.
