Tottenham youths Winks & Onomah set for Europa League action

Tottenham youths 18-year-old Harry Winks and  17-year-old Josh Onomah could made an appearance against Beşiktaş in the final Europa League Group C game.

Central midfielder Winks made his debut for Tottenham earlier this season against Partizan Belgrade.

Attacking midfielder Onomah is yet to make his senior debut.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has left several first team players in London including, Jan Vertonghen, Kyle Naughton, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb, Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane and Emmanuel Adebayor.

“We have great talent in the academy, the staff are unbelievable people who work very hard and who have a passion for football. We need to give the vehicle for these young players to arrive in the first team,” Pochettino said.

“In football, there is always the question of balance. That is important. We need to find the balance between buying players, and promoting those from the academy who deserve to play in the first team.”
