Trabzonspor are waiting for Daniel Sturridge to make his final decision after making an improved offer for the England international a source close to the club informed Turkish-Football.
The Black Sea based side have offered a contract that would make Sturridge the highest paid player in the side.
The 28-year-old would earn more than €2m – including tax – and has been offered an improved sign-on fee and bonuses compared to the last proposal made at the start of the week.
Sturridge is reported to be considering his options. Trabzonspor have made the most attractive offer out of the interested clubs but he has never played outside of England.
The striker has asked for time to make a final decision as he considers his future.
Liverpool released Sturridge as a free agent after letting his contract run to an end last month.
Trabzonspor have made signing a new striker a priority this summer.
The Super Lig outfit finished last season in fourth-place and booked a place in the Europa League.
