Trabzonspor Outcast Burak Yilmaz Nearing A Move To Besiktas

West Ham transfer news

Trabzonspor outcast Burak Yilmaz is edging closer to a move to Besiktas a source close to the Black Sea based club told Turkish-Football.

Besiktas have made Yilmaz an offer and the player is keen on playing under the stewardship of Senol Gunes again.

The Istanbul based side have held talks with Yilmaz but an agreement has yet to be reached over his wages.

Trabzonspor have made it clear that the striker does not have a future at the club.

The former Turkey international has created a toxic atmosphere in the camp and has disputes with several players and members of staff.

Yilmaz insulted Trabzonspor fans in his last game for the club which was the final straw for the board.

The player has been told he is free to leave but his high wages could prove a problem for Besiktas.

The Black Eagles have been trying to reduce their wage bill and have faced criticism for having too many old players.

Yilmaz is aged 33 but Besiktas are desperate for a proven goalscorer for the second half of the season.

The experienced striker has a prolific record in the Super Lig and already has five goals in seven games for Trabzonspor this term.
