Trabzonspor Reportedly Agree Deal With Two Rangers Players

Rangers full-back Borna Barisic appears set to leave Ibrox for Trabzonspor this summer on a free transfer according to Fanatik.

The Croatian defender has reportedly agreed a deal with the Turkish club after falling out of favor with manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst in recent months.

Ridvan Yilmaz and Dujon Sterling have been preferred at left-back, pushing Barisic down the pecking order.

Trabzonspor aren’t stopping there, though. They’re also reportedly keen on acquiring John Lundstram, another Rangers player whose contract expires this summer.

The experienced midfielder wouldn’t require a transfer fee, making him an attractive option for Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avic. While talks with Lundstram are ongoing, reports suggest an agreement is close.

After finalizing deals for Barisic Trabzonspor turns its attention to John Lundstram. The 30-year-old English midfielder’s contract with Rangers expires in two months, making him a free transfer target.

Trabzonspor aims to quickly reach an agreement with the experienced player, known for his stability and contributions of 2 goals and 7 assists in 48 games across all competitions this season.

Manager Abdullah Avcı is a reported admirer of Lundstram’s tough and dynamic playing style.

Trabzonspor are looking to rebuild the team after a disappointing season, the Black Sea based side are third but 35 points behind leaders Galatasaray.

Avci’s side are likely to book European competition football next term but want to be more competitive in the league.
