Trabzonpor face Ankaragucu at the home in the Super Lig on Saturday.

The Black Sea based side will be hoping to close the gap with leaders Basaksehir at the top of the league table after slipping up last week in the 2-2 draw against Alanyaspor.

The heated affair saw Trabzonspor club president Ahmet Agaoglu launch a pitch invasion and attack an Alanyaspor member of staff.

Trabzonspor vs Ankaragucu Preview

Trabzonspor take on Ankaragucu hoping to return to winning ways after being held to a draw away to Alanyaspor. Not a terrible result on the face of it but the Black Sea based side are notorious for having a meltdown at critical points in title races. The biggest fear for the home side is allowing the aftermatch of the draw to derail their season – it would not be the first time.

The game ended with Alanyaspor scoring an equaliser in the fifth minute of additional time followed by a fight between both sides board of directors and Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu storming the pitch looking for a fight.

Bizarre scenes to say the least but make no doubt about it. If Trabzonspor do manage to calm themselves they are more than capable of winning the league.

Trabzonspor will be without Anthony Nwakaeme and Yusuf Sari who are injured. Meanwhile, Seyed Majid Hosseinin is suspended.

The Claret-Blues do have Alexander Sorloth who now has 27 goals and eights assists available as well as star goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir – who took his university exams today – and wonderkid Abdulkadir Omur.

Ankaragucu meanwhile, are not in the best of form, currently sit at the bottom of the table and I just cannot see them taking points from a Trabzonspor side desperate to make up for last weeks debacle.

Prediction: Trabzonspor Win
