Transfer boost for Chelsea as Simon Kjaer seeks Champions League
Chelsea have received a boost in their pursuit of Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer.
A source close to Kjaer has revealed to Turkish-Football that the Danish defender is seeking UEFA Champions League football next season.
Only the winner of the Turkish Super League is guaranteed Champions league football. Seeing that Fenerbahce are a full 12 points behind in-form leaders Besiktas, it is unlikely that they will be in the UCL next season.
Kjaer has been a huge hit at Fenerbahce since joining from Lille in 2015 and has already established himself as a firm fan favourite.
Turkish-Football recently revealed that Fenerbahce are open to selling Kjaer this summer but only at the right price.
Chelsea take on their London based rivals West Ham United this weekend as they look to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
