Transfer negotiations underway with Liverpool ace – Turkish giants hoping to seal deal by 1 September

Besiktas have opened talks with Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius, according to the latest reports from Turkey.

A source close to Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football.com that Besiktas officials are currently in England for negotiations with Karius’ representatives.

Per the source, Besiktas are keen to sign Karius on a season-long loan and also want an option to sign the German keeper included in the deal.

Besiktas boss Senol Gunes has made the signing of a new goalkeeper a top priority following a disappointing string of disappointing performances by Tolga Zengin.

Meanwhile, the Mirror has stated that Jurgen Klopp is ‘happy to allow’ Karius to leave the Merseyside based club this month.

Karius was Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper last season, however, his stock plummeted following several high-profile errors in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The German keeper made a total of 33 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions last season.

Liverpool are back in action this weekend with a trip down to London where they will take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
