Turkish national team manager Fatih Terim has revealed that he is facing an injury crisis ahead of the international friendly against Brazil on Wednesday 12 November.
“We are without eight players going into the game,” Terim said.
“Gökhan Gönül looks unlikely to play, Semih Kaya and Mustafa Pektemek are out, Mevlüt Erdinç isn’t ready, Töre isn’t going to play, Burak Yılmaz has the flu, Volkan Demirel has a back problem and Volkan Babacan has a problem with his finger.
“So as you can see we have a lot of missing players.
“This is no excuse however, we still need to perform and be professional, we need players who really care about the national team.”
The Turkish national team take on Brazil on their 249. international friendly, the game will be played at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.
Terim is expected to field an experimental side against Brazil due to the extensive injury list.
