The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) will introduce video assistant referee (VAR) technology to the TFF 1. Lig semi-finals and final playoff games.
The winner of the final will secure the final spot for promotion to the Super Lig.
VAR has been used in friendly games in Turkey but this will be the first time it will be used in an official match.
The new system will be used for the semifinals on May 11 and 15 and the final game to be held on May 19.
The four second-tier sides involved in the playoffs have agreed to using VAR for the playoff games.
Erzurumspor will take on Umraniyespor in the first semi-final on 11 May at 19:00 local time.
Gazisehir will face Boluspor in the second playoff semi-final clash two hours later.
The return-fixtures will be played on 15 May.

VAR is gaining momentum and will be used in the World Cup in Russia. “I was skeptical at the beginning but without trying things you can’t know what they are worth,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.
“That’s why we carried out trials in those 1,000 matches. There are facts: referees make one important mistake one in every three, with VAR it is every 19.”
The TFF are considering using VAR in the Super Lig but have yet to pass a ruling for the 2018-19 season.
As things stand the top-flight will not use the technology next season.
