The Turkey national side have moved up three places in the FIFA World Rankings into 29th place after an impressive Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.

Turkey increased their points tally to 1494 from 1490 in the process and have now moved up ten places in total since Senol Gunes took charge just over a year ago.

The Red Crescents are just four points behind Japan who are 29th and the next rankings will be announced on 19 December.

Should Turkey move into the Top 20 the percentage of national team games an international player must play over the past two years to qualify for a work permit to play in the Premier League will drop from 60 to 45.
