Turkey squad revealed: Lucescu makes major call by dropping Barcelona star Arda Turan while Man United target is included
Turkey national team boss Mircea Lucescu has revealed his 29-man squad.
The Crescent-Stars will take on both Romania and Albania in international friendlies this week.
The first clash will take place in the Romanian City of Cluj on November 9. Turkey will then host Albania at the Antalya Stadium on November 13.
Lucescu has made several surprise decision with his latest selection. Barcelona star playmaker Arda Turan has been left out of the squad.
Turan is Turkey’s highest profile player but is yet to feature for the La Liga giants this season. Premier League side Arsenal have been linked with a move for Turan in January.
Meanwhile FC Dordrecht defender Erol Erdal Alkan has earned his first call-up.
The Romanian tactician has included several young players within his squad including Enes Unal, Cengiz Under and Manchester United target Yusuf Yazıcı.
