Besiktas have turned their attention back to Everton’s Oumar Niasse after failing to land Christian Benteke from Liverpool.
The Mirror recently reported that Besiktas were keen to sign the former Liverpool striker Christian Benteke. However, the Belgium international ended up moving to Crystal Palace.
According to the Turkish outlet Hurriyet, Besiktas President Fikret Orman has traveled to England and will hold talks with Everton over Niasse. The daily turkish paper goes onto state that the Black Eagles are in contact with both Everton and Niasse.
However, the Senegal international is Besiktas’ second choice target behind Chelsea’s Loic Remy. The Turkish Super League champions have also made a move for the former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan according to Goal.
Niasse joined Everton from the Russian Leage sude Lokomotiv Moscow for £13,5 million earlier this year but has failed to impress in the Premier League.
Besiktas continue their title defence this weekend when they take on Konyaspor.
