Turkish Giants Urge Liverpool To Reconsider £15m Demands For Forward Who Scored Just 3 Goals Last Season

Liverpool are prepared to sell Daniel Sturridge this summer but want £15 million for the striker according to The Times.

Per the source, Fenerbahce and Sevilla have both expressed interest in the forward.

The report also states that the striker is likely to move to ‘revitalise his career’.

The problem both Fenerbahce are having is matching the Reds asking price, a source close to the club revealed to Turkish-Football.

Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has made enquiries to Liverpool regarding Sturridge and urged his former club to reconsider the fee being demanded.

The Yellow Canaries are willing to take Sturridge off Liverpool’s hands for a lower fee.

Jurgen Klopp does not appear to have plans for the striker next season.

Sturridge managed just three goals in all competitions last term, spending six-months on loan at West Brom.

The forward did struggle with injury during his time at the Baggies and made just 20 appearances in all competitions over the 2017-18 season.

The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Liverpool and could struggle for playing time again should he stay on.

Additionally, he has just 12 months remaining on his contract and will be available on a free transfer unless offered a new deal.
