Turkish giants search for sponsor to fund £27m Man United star Marouane Fellaini transfer

Trabzonspor are stepping up their efforts to sign Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Turkish outlet Fotomac has revealed that the Black Sea based club are currently looking for sponsors to fund the move.

Per the source, the club will require financial backing from external sources to pull off the transfer.

Trabzonspor are looking to revamp their squad this summer as. The Super League giants will be celebrating their 50th anniversary next season and want to mark it with several marquee signings.

Fellaini made the move to Manchester United from Everton for £27.5 million (BBC) back in September 2013.

The Belgium has been a controversial figure at Old Trafford since making the move.

However, Fellaini has recently established himself in Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup. The 29-year-old scored a crucial goal for United against Celta in the Europa League semi-final earlier this month.

Fellaini has provided one assist and scored four goals in 45 appearances for Man United this season.
