The Black Eagles have been on the hunt for a new goalkeeper since selling Fabri to Fulham last month.
According to the daily Turkish sports paper Fanatik, Besiktas are preparing a move for Liverpool’s Loris Karius.
Per the source, the Istanbul giants want to sign the German keeper on a season-long loan.
The report goes onto state that Besiktas belive Karius is available this summer after Liverpool signed Allison from As Roma.
Karius was Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper last season however, he was replaced following a calamitous string of errors in the UEFA Champions League final.
The 25-year-old started Sunday afternoon’s clash against West Ham United on the bench. Karius joined Liverpool from Mainz back in 2016 and has three-years remaining on his contract.
Besiktas also kicked off their season with a 2-1 win over Akhisar on Sunday. Last season’s back-up goalkeeper Tolga Zengin started in goal for the Istanbul giants.
