Turkish giants set for talks with Rangers to sign 18-goal star striker this summer

Fenerbahce are set to step up their interest in the Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos.

The Yellow Canaries are expected to revamp their squad over the summer after Ali Koc was elected as club president.

According to the Turkish outlet Fanatik, Fenerbahce’s newly appointed director of football Damien Comolli will travel to Scotland this week to open negotiations with Rangers to sign Morelos.

The Colombia U20 international was Rangers top goalscorer last season with 18 goals in all competitions.

Per the source, Morelos’ impressive form has also attracted the attention of Chinese clubs.

Fanatik go onto state that Martin Skrtel may be used as a makeweight to push the deal over the line.

Skrtel has recently been linked with a move to Rangers following the appointment of Steven Gerrard. The Slovakia international played alongside Gerrard at Liverpool.

Fenerbahce will be able to offer Morelos UEFA Champions League football after finishing the Turkish Super Lig as runners-up.
