Turkish giants to make late €5m bid for Newcastle United striker

Turkish giants Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor are all in the race to sign Newcastle United striker Papisse Cisse on a transfer deadline move.

The Senegal international has not started in the Magpies last two-games and hinted that he would consider a move to gain more playing time.

“I don’t know, maybe one day here, or away, I will have my chance to play football again,” Cisse told the Chronicle Live.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe are currently leading the race to sign the Senegal international.

Fanatik claim that Galatasaray are set to make a €5 million bid Cisse and will try to lure him with the promise of Champions League group stage football.

The Lions currently lack depth upfront with only Burak Yılmaz and Umut Bulut as their first team strikers despite competing in the Champions League group stage and league campaign.

The Magpies recently rejected a bid from Beşiktaş for the experienced striker according to the Express.

The Senegal international who has two years remaining on this contract joined Newcastle from SC Freiburg for €14.5 million back in January 2012.
