Turkish Giants Hold Talks With Chelsea Over Defensive Transfer, Decision To Be Made After World Cup

Trabzonspor have stepped up effort to sign Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish sports newspaper Fotomac claim that the Black Sea Storm have held another round of talks with the Blues over a loan move.

Per the source, Trabzonspor want Omeruo on a temporary move and have already entered talks with the Premier League outfit over a move.

Chelsea do not appear to have plans for the 25-year-old defender next season.

In fact despite being contracted to the Blues since 2012 Omeruo has never actually made an appearance his parent club.

Omeruo spent the 2017-18 campaign on a temporary transfer to Kasimpasa – his second loan stint at the Super Lig outfit.

The defender has spent a total of three seasons in Turkey, two campaigns with Kasimpasa and one with Alanyaspor.

Omeruo is currently on international duty and is not expected to make a decision over his future until after the World Cup.

The defender was an unused substitute in Gernot Rohr’s Nigeria side against Croatia.
