The Super Lig has become increasingly competitive this season which has made predicting results a little more tricky. On the flip side there is often more value to be found compared to the last few seasons with the bookmakers growing increasingly confused over who are favorites and underdogs anymore. It may seem like you’d have more luck at Virgin playing casino games but we are here to prove otherwise.
Our current season record is 13 Wins – 11 Loss.
There are a range of offers to be found over at Betdirect if you want to use bonuses on any of these games.
Bursaspor vs Alanyaspor
Bursaspor are not in the best of form but I expect them to turn things round and am backing them against Alanyaspor who have lost their last two successive games.
Prediction: Bursaspor Win
Erzurum vs Kasimpasa
Can anyone stop Kasimpasa right now? It seems not. And I don’t see Erzurumspor managing to shut out the highest-scoring side in the league. You can get decent value on the draw no bet as the Istanbul minnows continue to be underestimated.
Prediction: Kasimpasa -0 (Draw No Bet)
Konyaspor vs Basaksehir
On paper Basaksehir may appear favorites but the value is on Konyaspor. They are tough to beat at home and will raise their game against the visitors. The Istanbul outfit have struggled to deal with being favorites. They no longer find the space they used to on the break as teams are starting to take more precautions.
Prediction Konyaspor -0 (Draw No Bet)
Antalyaspor vs Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor have finally got their act together. The Black Sea based outfit are my dark horses this season. Antalyaspor are in good form but on their day the visitors can beat just about any side in the league. The value is with the boys from the stormy eastern Black Sea coast.
Prediction: Trabzonspor -0 (Draw No Bet)
Kayserispor vs Sivasspor
This is a huge regional derby which I am not even going to try and call. Literally anything could happen!
Malatyaspor vs Galatasaray
Galatasaray were woeful against Schalke on Wednesday. The injury crisis is starting to take its toll. The Lions will be without their only first-choice striker Eren Derdiyok. Fernando, Nagatomo, Feghouli and Serdar Aziz have all been ruled out. Meanwhile, Henry Onyekuru is a doubt. Malatyaspor will raise their game at home. Expect a raucous atmosphere. There are no easy away games in the league anymore for the title challengers. Do not be surprised if there is an upset on Sunday.
Prediction: Malayaspor +0.5 (Asian Handicap)
Fenerbahce vs Ankaragucu
Phillip Cocu is in desperate need of a victory. To be fair the big three have all struggled on the road this season. The problem for Fenerbahce is that the Sukru Saracoglu has gone from being a mighty fortress to a flimsy wooden fort. Only Kayserispor and Erzurumspor have a worse home form. The Yellow Canaries are just one point above the relegation zone. Under normal circumstances, I would back the home side but I just can’t advise that anymore. To make matters worse Ankaragucu are the third best away side in the league and will be looking to hit Fener on the counter-attack.
Prediction: Ankaragucu +0.5 (Asian Handicap)
Akhisar vs Goztepe
I have nothing more to say about Akhisar other than they are absolutely dreadful.
Prediction: Goztepe -0 (Asian Handicap)
Besiktas vs Rizespor
After getting humiliating by Genk at home in the Europa League Besiktas are going to have to give a response against Rizespor. The Black Eagles will be under huge pressure from the fans to show a reaction. I just can’t see them playing as bad as they did against Genk again. The fans will not tolerate it. There will be chaos if they put on another lack-lustre effortless showing. Liverpool loanee Loris Karius conceded four goals but he along with Gokhan Gonul were the only two players who looked bothered. Both are likely to keep their place in the team but head coach Senol Gunes may make a few radical changes elsewhere in the team.
Prediction: Besiktas Win
