Turkish League Previews & Predictions 14: Clash of the titans, Besiktas take on Galatasaray

The current record for our picks stand at 30 wins 22 loss.

Besiktas vs Galatasaray

Besiktas vs Galatasaray Preview – A tale of two Tudor’s, can the Black Eagles pull off a first?

WIN

Akhisar vs Malatyaspor

Both sides are on a downward spiral, avoid at all costs.

Karabukspor vs Goztepe

Karabukspor have lost their last five league games and look destined to his the foot of the table at this rate. Goztepe meanwhile refuse to leave the leading pack. The Izmir based side have rediscovered their mojo and will be no pushovers.

Prediction: Goztepe Draw No Bet WIN

Konyaspor vs Bursaspor

Bursaspor are currently playing the most aesthetically pleasing football in the league. Lovers of the beautiful game should really check them out. Paul Le Guen has the Green Crocodiles playing some great stuff. Konyaspor meanwhile are in free fall. Bursaspor have been priced short and continue to be underestimated.

Prediction: Bursaspor Draw No Bet WIN

Genclerbirligi vs Sivasspor

AVOID!

Basaksehir vs Osmanlispor

Basaksehir have a shot of ending the week as league leaders if all goes their way. Should Galatasaray lose the derby clash against Besiktas and Basaksehir win they will go top. I do not see Osmanlispor putting up much resistance. The only way sides have been able to stop Basaksehir has been by parking the bus but the visitors are unable to park a bike let alone a larger vehicle.

Prediction: Basaksehir Win WIN

Fenerbahce vs Kasimpasa

The Istanbul derby nobody is talking about could be just as important as the Galatasaray vs Besiktas clash. Fenerbahce have won their last two games but it is worth noting that they beat two of the worst performing sides in the league – Genclerbirligi and Antalyaspor. Kasimpasa have won their last two games and are likely to put up stiffer opposition. The Yellow Canaries are favourites at home but both Vincent Janssen and Roberto Soldado are out. Robin van Persie has hardly played this season and Ahmethan Kose is an unknown quantity. The home side are likely to win but have not shown enough to warrant backing just yet.

Trabzonspor vs Antalyaspor

Trabzonspor are starting to move up the gears. The managerial change has made the world of difference. The visitors meanwhile are in free-fall. Expect a convincing win for the Black Sea Storm.

Prediction: Trabzonspor Win WIN

Alanyaspor vs Kayserispor

Kayserispor have been the surprise package this season. The Anatolian Stars are well organised, compact and a danger on the break. We are going to ride this train until the wheels fall off.

Prediction: Kayserispor +0.5 (Asian Handicap) WIN
