The December FIFA world rankings are out, and Turkiye maintains its 37th position with 1505.28 points, the same as in November.

The top 10, led by Argentina, remains untouched after another month of international football.

While Turkiye might not have climbed this month, staying put amongst 130+ nations is still a noteworthy feat.

With international qualifiers and friendlies still on the horizon, there’s plenty of opportunity to move up the ladder in the coming months.

Turkiye are undefeated under the management of Vincenzo Montella under whose guidance the national team qualified for Euro 2024 as group leaders.

The Turkish national team beat Germany 3-2 away from home in an international friendly and drew 1-1 with Wales in the final UEFA Euro qualification group match.

The next FIFA world ranking update will be released on February 15, 2024. Will Turkey climb higher then? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: the national team’s journey on the international stage continues to captivate fans.
