Cenk Tosun – Everton: Cenk Tosun had come under serious fire for his lack of goals but what he never lacked was effort. The Turkey international never stopped trying despite the criticism and was finally rewarded against Fulham on the weekend when he came off the bench to score the Toffees second with a proper Premier League header. His celebration showed just how much it meant for him. Hopefully he’ll regain his starting role as a result.

Mesut Ozil – Arsenal: The Gunners captain scored his third goal in four games in all competitions against Watford. Ozil showed the visitors and Troy Deeney in particular that he does have ‘cojones’. The 29-year-old was praised just as much for his work-rate as his attacking prowess which makes a change.

Hakan Calhanoglu – AC Milan: The free-kick maestro played a hand in the Milan giants 4-1 hammering against Sassuolo on Sunday with an assist for Diego Laxalt. The playmaker setup his first goal of the season in the process.

Zeki Celik – Lille: The 21-year-old full back continues to impress in Ligue 1. It is difficult to believe Celik went from playing second-tier Turkish football to a first-choice player for Lille. No other player made more tackles (2) or more interceptions (3) than the Turkey international. He also posed a threat going forwards in the 3-0 victory over French giants Marseille. The victory propelled Lille into second place in the league standings.
