Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has decided to leave Wayne Rooney on the bench going into the Premier League clash against reigning champions Leicester City at Old Trafford.
Rooney has been included in the match day squad but will not start. Record signing Paul Pogba has kept his place in the starting line-up and fellow summer arrival Zlatan Ibrahimovic will start up-front.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan meanwhile has been dropped from the squad and will not feature today.
The Red Devils will be without Anthony Martial and Phil Jones due to injury and Luke Shaw has also failed to make the match-day squad. The home side will also be without Anthony Martial who is out injured.
Spanish international Juan Mata will make his 150th Premier League start against the Foxes.
German keeper Rob-Robert Zieler is will replace Schmeichel in goal for Leicester. Foxes summer singing Islam Slimani will start as will Mahrez and Vardy.
