Premier League clubs from the 2016/17 season have published their retained and released lists.

The clubs have revealed the players they will be keeping in their squads, and the ones they will be releasing.

Premier League rules require all clubs to submit their retained and released lists to the Premier League by the third Saturday in May.

One interesting addition to the Liverpool retained list was Lucas Leiva who could leave Anfield this summer.

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has been closely linked with Turkish giants Besiktas and Galatasaray as well as his former club Gremio.

“There was an offer from Gremio in January but I wanted to complete 10 years at Liverpool,” he told Radio Atlantica.

“Now in the window we had a conversation, but nothing official.

“I do not hide my desire to return to Gremio, but there are several factors.”

Besiktas and Galatasaray sources have both confirmed to Turkish-Football that they are interested in Lucas.

Besiktas meanwhile will be using the lure of Champions League football to convince Lucas into joining the Turkish league champions.

The 30-year-old will become a free agent over the summer unless he is offered a contract extension.

Lucas has 345 appearances for Liverpool, scoring seven goals, during his decade-long stay on Merseyside, making him the most experienced player in the current squad.
