Fenerbahce’s star striker Robin van Persie has been offered out to the Premier League side Crystal Palace according to the Daily Mail.
The daily paper claims that Van Persie’s agent has been on the look-out for a new club and that Crystal Palace have been targeted. Van Persie is understood to be keen on a return to London where he lived for over a decade.
Van Persie joined Fenerbahce from Manchester United on a £4 million deal last season. However, despite netting 16 goals in league for the Istanbul Giants, Van Persie has fallen out with Fener boss Vitor Pereira. The Portuguese tactician has refused to show him favouritism and regularly left the experienced striker on the bench.
Fenerbahce president Azil Yildirim confirmed that the club will listen to offers for Van Persie: “Van Persie? We’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold.”
The Netherlands international does have another two-years remaining on his current contract and has years of Premier League experience having played for both Arsenal and Manchester United.
