Besiktas pulled off a shock upset defeating Napoli 3-2 at the San Paulo stadium to move into second place in Group B on five points.
The Black Eagles made history in the process, becomming the first side to beat Napoli at home in the Champions League. The victory was also their first over Italian competition in Europe.
Vincent Aboubakar was the hero on the night. The summer signing made a bit of history himself when he scored his first ever Besiktas goal to put the Black Eagles 2-1 ahead going into half-time.
Napoli equalised soon after the interval after converting a penalty – after missing their first.
It was Besiktas however, how had the last laugh. Aboubakar rose high to head in a Ricardo Quaresma set-piece towards the end of the game to record a memorable victory.
